We are delighted to invite you to the SlavFest 2008 - festival of Slavic cultures in London that covers countries like - Slovakia, Czech Republic, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia and Bulgaria.
SlavFest aims to present Slavic culture and traditional life style to the British public especially in the light of Her Majesty Queen's visit to Slovakia this autumn.
Traditional Slavic Fair
Friday 12pm - 7pm
Saturday 10am - 7pm
Sunday 10am - 5pm
The Green, Chiswick, W4 - Nearest tube station: Chiswick Park, Chiswick High Rd.
The SlavFest programme will feature concerts of traditional folk musicians as well as classical, ethno and world musicians. There will be stands offering live workshops in traditional arts and crafts : blacksmith, basket making, glass blowing, flute making and much more. Within the dance scene there will be performances in traditional dances, e.g. the Hat Dance, or Kazatchok, with a chance to take part in dance lessons.
In the whole, there will be around 200 exhibitors and musicians in 30 odd stands, main stage and a theatre tent.
